The discography of La Roux, an British synthpop duo, consists of one studio album, one compilation album, one extended play, four singles and four music videos. In 2006, their members, Elly Jackson and Ben Langmaid, were introduced to each other through a mutual friend. They first collaborated on the acoustic project Automan before opting to switch to a musical style similar to that of Prince and David Bowie, naming their new project La Roux.[1]
Their self-titled debut album La Roux was released on 29 June 2009. It peaked in the top ten in the United Kingdom and Ireland, but failed to achieve similar success in other territories. The lead single, "Quicksand", did not achieve much success, charting low in the UK and Belgium. The second single, "In for the Kill", reached number two in the UK and the top twenty in Ireland and Norway. "Bulletproof", La Roux's third single, was a top ten hit in several countries, including the United Kingdom, where it became their first number one hit, and the United States, where it reached number eight. "I'm Not Your Toy" was released as the album's fourth single; it reached number 27 in the UK and charted in the lower regions of the Australian and Belgian charts.
